We are delighted to welcome 8 new members of staff to our team including Director, Jonathan Thomas, who
brings with him over 20 years experience in the refuse vehicle business.
Spencer Law, Managing Director: “We are growing fast and to meet increasing demand we have taken on more engineers & mechanics. Jonathan has joined the company to assist me in developing the business and brings with him a wealth of experience and attributes that will further endorse our market position. It’s an exciting time for us.”
Jonathan began his career working as a hydraulic fitter for a local engineering firm and then as a demonstration driver for Jack Allen before moving on to join the Dennis Eagle sales team and setting up his own vehicle safety technology company.
Jonathan said: "RVS has an excellent reputation in the industry and I’m proud to be joining such a successful company. Over the years I’ve worked across many different areas involved in the procurement and operation of refuse vehicles so I understand the challenges facing our customers and can help them find the right vehicle solution."
In addition to Jonathan’s appointment we’d like to welcome: Kevin Turner, Professional Vehicle Valet; Gary Prout, Mechanical Engineer; Tim Shipton, Hydraulic Engineer; Daniel Griffiths, Apprentice; Steve Cam, Mechanical Engineer; Josh Cambridge, Electrical Engineer; and James Selby, Assistant Parts Manager; Steve Rudd, Professional Low Loader Driver.
Romsey-based waste management company, Ace Liftaway, has just taken delivery of a newly re-manufactured 26 tonne RCV, the company’s largest vehicle to date, paving the way for further expansion.
Ace provided us with a brand new DAF chassis and we then remanufactured and fitted a phoenix 2 body and Beta 2 trade bin lift.
Philip Liddell, Managing Director, Ace Liftaway said: “RVS came recommended and I can understand why. The vehicle is immaculate and the service has been superb. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again when we need another vehicle.”
Established over 25 years ago Ace Liftaway now has over 1500 skips on hire throughout South Hampshire and recycles & processes around 90% of all the materials it collects at its own waste recycling facility.
Keeping Your Vehicle Collections And Deliveries Legal
We now offer a nationwide low loader service to help you collect or deliver vehicles. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency states that a trade licence is required for anyone transporting vehicles. Trade plates shouldn’t be used where there is no valid MOT certificate. However, many operators are risking fines by moving vehicles illegally. A low loader is the only legal way to transport vehicles with no MOT.
By using our own remanufactured semi-low loader trailer with a gvw of 44 tonnes and highly trained driver, Steve Rudd, you can make sure your vehicle movements are legal and hassle free.
To find out more about this safe and legal solution for moving vehicles give us a call on 01453 899131.
If you need a vehicle to cover any shortfall in capacity, purchasing a re-manufactured or quality used vehicle can be a much more cost efficient solution. Call us to find out if we have any suitable vehicles in stock.
