Leicestershire-based Bakers Waste Services (BWS) has teamed up with a leading provider of Remanufactured and Quality Used refuse vehicles to grow its fleet and keep its vehicles in optimum condition.
Bakers Waste used to purchase new vehicles straight from the manufacturers but for the past three years the company has relied on the services of Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) to repair, modify and renew its fleet, including the purchase of 6 Quality Used vehicles.
Paul Baker, Managing Director, Bakers Waste said: “RVS provides us with a unique, flexible service, which is essential to helping us get the most out of our vehicles. Not only have they supplied us with superbly presented Quality Used vehicles that genuinely offer the same lifetime as a new vehicle, they have remanufactured some of our existing fleet to extend the life of those vehicles. RVS also supply us with parts, and provide technical support, for minor refurbishments carried out at our own workshop.”
As well as having some of its own vehicles remanufactured, Bakers Waste has just ordered a complete remanufactured vehicle, mounted onto a brand new chassis.
Paul Baker added: “We need to be able to respond to changes in customer demand quickly. We can’t hang around for months waiting for a new vehicle to be delivered and we also need to keep an eye on our capital spend. RVS can turn vehicles around quickly and cost effectively, and they offer different options so there is always a way to achieve what we need to keep our fleet running at an optimum level.”
