Surrey-based Facilities Contract Solutions (FCS) has recently purchased its first Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) enabling the company to offer its customers recycling and waste collection, as well as cleaning and property management services.
Jamey Fitzgibbon, Senior Grounds Engineer, FCS said: “Over the past 5 years an increasing number customers have asked if we can take care of their waste disposal. Until recently we used to sub-contract the work but such is the demand that it makes sense for us to do it ourselves. Now our customers can call on us for everything – cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, property maintenance, recycling and waste collection.”
FCS turned to Gloucestershire-based Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) to source a vehicle, in the end opting for a Quality Used 15T 2007 DAF LF55.220, with NTM K-Std body and fitted with an NTM Trade bin lift.
Jamey added: “I started researching refuse vehicles in 2014 and I kept coming across RVS but initially I thought they were too far away. I contacted them a few times to get vehicle prices and they were so responsive and helpful so I made an appointment to visit and have a look at a vehicle. They have been amazing and the vehicle is in superb condition. They have bent over backwards to help us and Spencer calls me regularly to make sure everything is ok. That kind of customer service is rare these days. We won’t hesitate to return when we need another vehicle.”
RVS supplies New (RediTruck), Quality Used and Remanufactured refuse vehicles and provides a host of support services including short to medium term hire, contract hire, parts, repairs and maintenance, finance packages and vehicle transportation (low loader service).
Spencer Law, Managing Director, RVS said: “We provide a nationwide service and our customers are spread right across the country. We are delighted that FCS are pleased with their vehicle and our service. We wish them all the best with their new service and hope to provide their second vehicle soon.”
FCS is a family business providing cleaning and facilities management services to businesses in Central London and throughout the M25 corridor from Maidenhead to Maidstone. FCS customers include many managing agents for multi-storey office premises in Central London and independent businesses from a wide range of sectors.
Jamey continued: “We have customers as far a field as Milton Keynes to Brighton and Ramsgate to Bristol. Our aim is to offer our services all over the UK.”
