Greenline Invests In First Refuse Truck

Essex-based commercial waste services company Greenline Environmental Ltd. has just purchased its first Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) marking a new phase in the company’s growth.

Darryn Hodges, Managing Director, Greenline Environmental said: “It’s a natural progression for us.  We work with a wide range of organisations and we are receiving an increasing number of enquiries. This is our first trade waste vehicle and if all goes well we are keen to take on another.”

The Quality Used RCV comprising a Mercedes Econic chassis and Geesink body with a trade bin lift was supplied by Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS). The vehicle joins Greenline’s existing fleet of five 14-yard tippers and the company has also adopted the PURGO software system from Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS), which has been designed specifically for waste operators to streamline processes from sales through to operations.

RVS started selling quality used vehicles 5 years ago as an alternative way of buying second hand refuse trucks. All vehicles go through a 72-point quality check to give customers complete confidence in the vehicles they are purchasing.

Darryn added: “RVS were recommended to me and I can’t fault them in any way. The vehicle is immaculate, the service has been excellent and the whole process has been hassle-free. We will definitely return when we need another vehicle.”

Spencer Law, Managing Director, RVS said: “As companies like Greenline grow they need to be able to respond quickly to increasing demand. We are delighted that Greenline chose us to provide their first RCV.  We hope it’s the first of many!”

Greenline Environmental was established in 2011 and operates 24 hours a day providing tailor made solutions for waste management including wait and load collection, emergency waste removal, office clearance, junk removal, missed bin collections, WEEE waste disposal and fly tipping clearance. Greenline is committed to 100% landfill diversion and has received FORS bronze accreditation for its fleet management.

As well as providing RediTruck, Quality Used and remanufactured vehicles, RVS also offers the full range of refuse vehicle support services.  These include: new, used and reconditioned parts with next day delivery; repairs and maintenance; vehicle ancillary equipment fitted as required; an extensive fleet of vehicles for short to long term hire including contract hire; finance; and a Low Loader vehicle transportation service.
