Newsletter - October 2016

It seems a long-time ago now but just to say a quick thanks to all those who visited us at RWM. The level of interest and enquiries on the stand was unprecedented.

We sold three RediTrucks, took an order for a major refurbishment, another order for a Quality Used vehicle and three long-term hire contracts. Fantastic!

The 1978 Smith's Cabac 75 Electric Dustcart that we remanufactured for the show is still For Sale. Click on the image above for more info.

Building For Greater Capacity

As a result of the rising demand for our services, the success of RediTruck and the growth of our Hire fleet to over 50 vehicles, we have decided to expand our premises to increase capacity.

We have submitted plans to increase the number of bays from 5 to 8 and to grow our engineering team. The new fit-out will include the installation of an overhead crane.

Subject to planning permission, we hope to have the new bays up and running by Spring next year.

Refuse Truck Needed ASAP In Dorset!

When W&S Recycling Services recently won a 10-year contract from the Dorset Waste Partnership (DWP) to continue operating the county's Household Recycling Centres (HRC), they needed to refresh their fleet with new vehicles.

However, faced with lead times of 6 months or more from vehicle manufacturers, they needed a quick solution so they came to us and our RediTruck service provided the answer.

Andrew Tyers, Operations Manager, W&S Recycling:

"We were looking to hire vehicles as the new vehicles we had ordered hadn't arrived. We heard about RVS and their RediTruck service so we gave them a call. They had the exact vehicle we needed in stock with the correct specification. It's very rare to get the right vehicle 'off the shelf'. It was delivered within a matter of days and is in operation on our new contract."

The vehicle we supplied was a 2016 DAF CF, Olympus 23w body fitted with a Beta Trade bin lift.

Andrew Tyers added:

"I wouldn't hesitate to go back to RVS again for more vehicles or to use their other services."

Munros Bag A New RCV In Record Time

We recently managed to get a RediTruck to the Scottish Highlands for Munros haulage contractor, Crawfords of Beith, just days after the order was placed.

Andrew Crawford, Crawfords of Beith said:

"We only had two weeks to replace a truck that had let us down and we had heard about RediTruck from RVS so we gave them a call. They delivered a brand new, ready for work refuse vehicle, in the exact spec we need, practically immediately."

The brand new Daf CF with an Olympus 23w body was fitted with a Beta Trade bin lift.

Andrew Crawford added:

"We usually purchase vehicles direct from the manufacturer but have to wait for 6 months or more. Following our experience with RVS we won't hesitate to go back to them in future. Everything has been spot on."
