Aylesbury Vale District Council has purchased a Quality Used refuse vehicle from Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) to support its 36+ vehicle waste collection fleet.
The vehicle, a 4x2 18t 2008 Dennis Elite 2 with Phoenix 2 body, was modified to replace the Terberg OmniDel bin lift for a Beta Trade lift. It is the second time that the Authority has purchased a vehicle from RVS; the first was a 2010 Dennis Eagle Duo purchased in May 2013 to provide back-up to the council’s waste and recycling fleet.
Barry Waters, Transport Manager, Aylesbury Vale, said: “The quality of vehicles and customer service at RVS is excellent, so we didn’t hesitate to contact them again when we needed another vehicle. They adapted the truck very promptly to suit our needs and it arrived fully liveried , MOT’d, serviced and LOLER’d. The crew are really pleased with it too.”
A Quality Used vehicle from RVS undergoes a rigorous process before reaching the customer. This involves a comprehensive and rigorous scope of works applied to every aspect of the vehicle. All visible defects to the chassis, body and binlift are rectified and the cab is brought back to new including the re-upholstering of all seats and a professional valet of the interior. The vehicle is then fully serviced including the replacement of engine oils, hydraulic oils and filters, before being liveried to the customer’s specification. No vehicle leaves RVS without 12 months MOT.

We had a matching vehicle available but with a domestic bin lift, so we re-manufactured a second life Dennis Beta Trade bin lift and replaced the domestic lift. Whatever a customer wants, we provide a flexible, bespoke service and offer a range of solutions including remanufacturing a vehicle to meet each customer’s precise requirements.”
