Leading re-manufacturer of refuse vehicles, Refuse Vehicle Solutions (RVS), is all set to make a big impact at this year’s PAWRS. As well as showcasing their workmanship on a 7-year old re-manufactured refuse truck, RVS will also be presenting for the first time their newly refurbished ex-British Forces Post Office trailer, which they will be using to host guests at the show.
Spencer Law, Managing Director, RVS said: “We’ve done a lot of work to the trailer to bring it up to standard and it’s got some quirky features such as crew seats taken from a refuse truck. It should be quite a talking point at the show. It provides us with somewhere comfortable and weather-proof to sit and talk to visitors.”
RVS has never been so busy with an increasing number of local authorities as well as private sector contractors, now choosing to refresh their fleets with an RVS re-manufactured vehicle.
Spencer explains: “We specialise in providing high quality, cost effective, re-manufactured refuse vehicles. We can engineer a vehicle to meet a customer’s precise requirements, whether that involves full or partial body re-manufacturing. A big plus is that we can beat manufacturers lead times. We can often source, re-manufacture and deliver an ‘as new’ vehicle in under 4 weeks.”
Martin Britchford, Fleet Buyer for Swindon Commercial Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Swindon Borough Council, recently ordered six refuse vehicles from RVS:
“Last year we bought a vehicle from RVS and when it was delivered, in under 3 weeks, it was difficult to tell it apart from a new vehicle. If we can get the equivalent lifetime and operational standards from re-manufactured vehicles as we can from new vehicles, at the same time making significant savings against capital costs, we are able to provide a much better value for money service.”
