Waste collection and recycling provider Ubico has opted to update its existing fleet with the purchase of three quality used vehicles from RVS.
The vehicles – all quality used 6x4 26tonne Dennis Eagle Phoenix 2s with Elite 2 chassis cabs and Terberg OmniDel bin lifts – will be used to handle recycled waste collections for Cotswold District Council. They have been purchased to replace an ageing vehicle fleet which Ubico inherited from a previous contractor.
Rob Bell, Managing Director of Ubico comments: “When the first vehicle was delivered to us this week we were amazed by the finish and quality of the workmanship. It looks brand new and has been delivered just four weeks after we placed our order, complete with an MOT and three-month parts warranty.
“RVS will be delivering the remaining two vehicles within the next month and are continuing to keep us up-to-date with weekly progress reports. We are delighted with the quality of service and product RVS is providing and their professional approach has made the purchase of quality used vehicles the most cost effective and efficient way to update our fleet. The ability to update the fleet without the major outlay and longer lead times required when buying new RCVs was also a key consideration.”
Visitors to next week’s RWM exhibition can see the quality of the Ubico vehicles first hand by visiting the RVS stand (number OA136) where a Ubico vehicle will be on show. RVS will also be showing a second quality used vehicle at the show which will be available to purchase.
And don’t forget...
The second heat of the RVS RCV Driving Challenge is also taking place on our stand next week.
Launched at this year’s PAWRS, this unique challenge is part of RVS’ ongoing fundraising campaign for Cancer Research UK and invites show visitors to manoeuvre a brand new custom-made remote control RCV around a special circuit, in return for a small donation to the charity.
Loyd Chandler of Priority Hire is currently top of the Challenge leader board, completing the circuit in just 43.5 seconds but if you think you can do better, we invite you to visit us at the stand to take the Challenge!
