The Recycling Partnership in Crawley has purchased three brand new refuse vehicles from Gloucestershire-based Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) equipped with the latest bin weighing equipment and installed with new waste management software.
Jason Taylor, Group Commercial Manager, The Recycling Partnership said: “The business continues to grow rapidly and we have recently installed new software to the existing fleet, which is providing us with better access to data and enables us to be more proactive in relation to our service provision. We wanted to roll it out across the whole fleet and we didn’t want to retrofit to old rolling stock. The addition of these new vehicles ensures that 100% of our fleet is running on the same software.”
The Recycling Partnership operates a fleet of 18 vehicles and has previously procured four new trucks from RVS.
Jason added: “We have purchased new vehicles from RVS in the past and we wouldn’t go anywhere else now.”
The three latest trucks, are all Mercedes Econic chassis; two are fitted with Dennis Olympus bodies and Beta 2 Trade Lifts, and one with a Terberg Toploader and Terberg trade lift. The vehicles are due for delivery in March, April and July.
Jason added: “The team at RVS are experts in refuse trucks. They make sure we get the right spec to meet our needs and that the vehicles comply with all the latest regulations. The vehicles are always delivered in double-quick time and arrive ready for work, fully equipped with everything we need. RVS has also taken our older vehicles, to refurbish them and remarket them for the second-life market-place.”

The Recycling Partnership FORS bronze accredited and recently installed PurGo waste management software from VWS Software Solutions to enhance its service to customers and streamline processes. In addition, every vehicle in the fleet is equipped with the ENVIROWEIGH bin-weighing system from Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS), which integrates with PurGo, to provide accurate weight data for monitoring and reporting purposes.
