URGENT! Brand New Refuse Vehicle Delivered To Runnymede Borough Council

Runnymede Borough Council recently took urgent action to replace an end of life refuse truck despite imminent plans to go out to tender for the replacement of its entire fleet.

Dave Stedman, Direct Services Manager, Runnymede Borough Council said: “One of our vehicles was at the end of its life and beyond repair so we needed to take urgent action to replace it. We spoke to some vehicle manufacturers but were looking at 6-9 months plus waiting time.”

Luckily the council managed to find a replacement vehicle within a matter of weeks, care of Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS). The 26t Mercedes Econic with Dennis Olympus body and Terberg OmniDEL bin lift is also fitted with a Sentinel camera system.

Dave added: “I had heard about RVS, in particular that they also supply brand new off-the-shelf refuse trucks so we gave them a call and they were able to supply us with exactly the correct specification of vehicle within a matter of weeks.”

Spencer Law, Managing Director, RVS: “We were pleased to help out. This is why we created RediTruck. There are always customers out there who need refuse trucks quickly, either to meet new demand or as in the case of Runnymede to fill a gap left by an unreliable truck.  We make sure we have a rolling stock of vehicles in different specifications, all equipped with the latest technology, and complying with the latest regulations and safety standards, so they’re ready to drive away.”

RVS provides a complete one stop solution for refuse vehicle operators, supplying a wide range of refuse vehicles – new, Quality Used and Remanufactured – as well as a host of support services comprising repairs, service, hire vehicles, breakdown cover, parts, finance and vehicle transportation.
